Como podemos ver pelos exemplos acima, os phrasal verbs são extremamente comuns e seus significados dependem muito do contexto para se firmarem. Mais do que isso, alguns deles não tem nada a ver com o significado do verbo sem a preposição. Put off não representa put, por exemplo.
